rehandle) drop from the game in May 2025, Lorna has taken over running the school/training facility he had founded. She was serving as one of the teachers on staff (specifically helping people train and master their powers/abilities) and is continuing in that role, only now also as the facility's head. For the time being, the magical wards that Stephen had put to keep the Zlatniki/Duchess-aligned PCs out of the area will remain. While this is likely going to change at some point, it will not be at any point soon (especially as of August 2025). Please don't make any plotting attempts to try to change this without checking with me first.

LARGE TRAINING PIT •
hewn into the forest floor, allowing a magical forcefield to be cast over the top to enable power use during practice without damaging the forest at large. Can also be set up as a sheltered range for weapons training when not in VT use for powers training.
LARGE PAVED TRAINING AREA •
for non-powers-based outdoor training as required by his practice. Martial arts, non-activated spell drills for focus and discipline/physical control, etc.
MEDIUM-SIZED INDOOR TRAINING AREA •
for meditation, rest, other aspects of a holistic sorcery practice, and to allow for drills/training to continue in bad weather. Also a potential spot for meetings.
STORAGE SHED •
for training weapons and anything else that needs storing.
SHOWER ROOM •
with a few shower stalls and a couple toilet stalls.
CLEARING •
between the building and paved training area with benches etc where people can gather, eat, rest, hang out between training sessions.
PORTAL GATEWAY •
that connects to another built just outside of the town bounds, so attendees from town don’t have to make the dangerous trek through the woods.

POWERS:
Lorna has a lot of powers (see here for that), but these are the ones that require more permissions from other players due to their potential uses. She's typically not the type to use any of this maliciously/aggressively unless she has to.
Body manipulation
Given her electromagnetic and other capabilities, she is able to do things such as restart someone's heart, make them feel things that aren't there (pain [or pleasure] when nothing's actually touching them, temperature differences, etc), make people pass out by reversing their blood flow. She can also sense/see people's personal magnetic auras, provided they are a living being with one.
Energy absorption
Certain types of energy she can absorb and use to boost her strength in her power temporarily. These energies she would absorb would have to have some sort of magnetic, electrical, or combo of both, to effect her this way.
Electromagnetic sight
She can see the world in the patterns of magnetic and electrical energy.

 ⲙⲓ⳽ⲧⲅⲉ⳽⳽ ⲟ⳨ ⲙⲇ🇬ⲛⲉⲧⲓ⳽ⲙ ☄ First Impressions ♚ VISUAL: Most notably, all of the hair on her body is green; the hair on her head, she wears long, and most often, down. She has sharp facial features. She's around five feet and nine inches tall (5'9"), and she's thin but has muscle on her — so more of an athletic build, with wide shoulders. ♚ FASHION: She's got a casual style, when not in uniform or dressed up for a special event. ♚ DEMEANOUR: She generally carries herself in a strong and confident manner. Lorna can get angry pretty quickly, but unless your character gives her a reason to be angry or catches her at a bad time, she won't appear to be unapproachable. ♚ AURAL: American accent. I imagine her with Lorna's actors voice in The Gifted; so more of a lower-register/husky tone. ♚ OLFACTORY: For any characters with heightened senses, they could smell a sharp smell to her because of the nature of her powers. They could also tell that she doesn't smell like a normal human (see "magical information" section below). Otherwise, she occasionally wears light citrus scents. ♚ MENTAL INFORMATION: Lorna isn't immune to telepathic powers. She won't like it, but there's nothing stopping a telepath from getting in there. If your character has telepathic powers, let me know if they're using them on her so I know what to include in my tags. (Also, drop me a link below to your permissions post.) ♚ MAGICAL INFORMATION: She's a mutant (her DNA isn't like the DNA of a regular human) with magnetic/metal manipulation abilities, and has no defenses against magic. ☄ Permissions ♚ BACKTAGGING: Yes! ♚ THREADHOPPING: Please ask first. ♚ FOURTHWALLING: If your character knows of the Polaris story from the comics or other media (including CRAUs, if your character knew a version of her in another RP game), sure; they're free to recognize her by appearance and/or name and say so to her. Anything more than that, it's case by case basis -- just PM me and ask! :) ♚ MARVEL CHARACTER OPT-OUTS: Not interested in threads with any versions of Wade Wilson/Deadpool, Gwenpool, and Frank Castle/Punisher. ♚ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Flirting is always fine. Hugging and kissing are fine if you're on friendly terms with her. Shipping and smut are also fine. ♚ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Fighting, minor injury, and minor uses of magic are fine, and let's plot first before any major injury/use of magic/death. Be aware she's going to fight back. She will be much more likely to fight back with her abilities than doing something like returning a punch or a kick. I'm okay with most anything (and Lorna is pretty tough, as she's been through some shit), but for anything that would be nearly-fatal/fatal, PM me first just so we can plot it out. ♚ MIMICRY: In memes or psls, always. For games, check in with me if we're not close cr; if we are close cr that tags consistently, no need to ask first. Any game cr that treats the cr like a psl and only tags our threads once a month or so, nope. ♚ RELATIONSHIPS: I'm pretty open as far as romantic relationships with her go. Canon ships are mostly a go (I'd prefer some discussion first before Alex/Lorna), and anything cross-canon is awesome and welcomed as well. In a game setting, I'm comfortable playing her in ships with men or women. Basically, as long as there's proper buildup and development, bring it on. ☄ Powers ♚ SUMMARY OF POWERS: Lorna can user her mutant powers to sense and manipulate magnetism/metal. She can do things like fly, create magnetic force-fields and pulses, she has a geomagnetic link, sensing electromagnetic signals, and electromagnetic sight. TL;DR - If it's metal or magnetic in any way, she can feel it and manipulate it. Here is more on it. ♚ WEAKNESSES/POWER LIMITATIONS: Her power will not work if your character has a device or ability (like the use of magic) that would cancel out her power's functionality by blocking their electromagnetic signal from her, or otherwise creating a barrier around them that her senses couldn't penetrate. She's harder to kill than a regular human, but if your character was determined or just had a stroke of really good (or bad, for accidents) luck, they could do it. ♚ MISC: Will always opt out of any RP interaction from characters from the Harry Potter series, or any other JKR-created characters. |
