Since it would take up time and space, I'd be happy to put work in for the owner, if you think they'd be willing to make the trade. I know my way around a forge, but I'm also willing to take on menial labor if that's more helpful.

Oh, no, nothing so secret as that. I'm looking to build a pepperbox.

That sounds badass actually, honestly I'm not sure why I haven't seen more people build things like that. Maybe you'll start a trend.

No familiarity with the process, I'd imagine. From what I've learned, such weapons are far more common in other worlds - the people using them aren't the people building them.

Fair enough point there. I'll admit I certainly don't use them much, though they're very common in my world.
